Is this actually free, or is there a catch?
The app is totally free. You do need a paid Claude subscription to power it. Using the app to manage unlimited bots and unlimited runs stay free forever. If you ever decide to cancel your Claude subscription, the app and all the content it generated remain yours to enjoy. Basic and Pro exist for people who want more features or just to support the project.
Is it safe? What does a bot actually have access to?
Each bot only does what you tell it to, on the schedule you set, and reports back on what it did. If you give it access to other folders on your computer, it can work with your files too. Bots are strictly blocked from accessing your system actions, so they cannot install software, manage your operating system, or perform git commands.
What can a bot actually do?
Anything you can describe in plain English and that involves checking, watching, researching or analyzing something (tracking a competitor's pricing page, monitoring a website's uptime, summarizing your inbox every morning, watching a folder for clutter, keeping tabs on the news for your industry, etc.). However, some websites do block automated requests.
Why is it free?
We believe in the power of AI to make our lives better, and we want to make it easy for everyone to get the most out of it. We also believe in making simple tools available to everyone, and since it's a desktop app, we don't have to pay all the usual costs of running a web app.
